Considering the last election results of Gujarat, it is decided that in the next five years, there will be ‘Congress was’ in Gujarat. The Congress, which strengthened in 2015 after the Patidar movement, has lost a lot in the 2021 Gujarat local body elections as compared to that time. The main reason for this is the low share of Patidar Samaj and other golden castes in the Gujarat Congress.
All Gujaratis know that leaders like Bharatsinh Solanki, Arjun Modhwadia and Shankarsinh Vaghela, Madhusudan Mistry, by-products of KHAM theory have been ruling the Congress for the last 20 years and have been working hard to form a BJP government. Apart from elections, Bharatsinh Solanki lives in the US and after 2014, the Congress is being run by putting a rubber stamp named Mama’s son Amit Chavda.
Bharat Solanki is still running the Gujarat Congress behind the scenes. Who have always been the enemies of the Patidar society. He has always removed Patidars from Congress from time to time from racist politics. Not a single Patidar has been sent to the Rajya Sabha in the last 30 years, and he has not been allowed to become the state president for over a decade. Although the credit for the highest number of assembly seats won in 2015 should go to the Patidars, Gujaratis have seen the hatred of the Congress KHAM leaders towards the Patidars.
Due to such stubborn attitude of KHAM leaders, the situation has become such that now in 2015, the Patidars had given victory to the Congress over 27 out of 31 District Panchayats of Gujarat. Now the anger of Patidars was seen in opposition to the Congress and now not a single district panchayat in Gujarat has risen enough to swear in the name of the Congress. Patidars have disillusioned with the Congress and rejoined the AAP and BJP, while most of the Patidars in Saurashtra and Surat have turned to the Aam Aadmi Party. Whose trends were reflected in the election results.
The previous BJP state president was Patidar and now the Aam Aadmi Party state president has also come to Patidar. If the Congress high command does not change the stubborn attitude of the current KHAM leaders this time, it will be difficult for the Congress to win 10 MLAs in 2022 as the number of Congress members in district panchayats has not reached double digits anywhere. If the President of Gujarat Congress belongs to the Patidar community, then your Gujarat entry may take a break.
Just as the Gujarat Congress’ dedicated vote bank Muslims are also moving towards the BJP and Owaisi’s party and are getting annoyed with the Congress, the BJP is also becoming the first choice of the people of the OBC community. Leaders including Kunwarji Bawaliya, a veteran leader of the Koli community, and Cabinet Minister Jawahar Chawda left the Congress because of these KHAM leaders like Bharatsinh Solanki, Arjun Modhwadia and Amit Chavda.
In Gujarat, the Patidar community has a 13% share of the vote, and these are the decisive voters. In addition, the Patel community comes mostly from rural and agricultural areas and more work needs to be done in that direction today. Saurashtra region has 52 seats. In 2017, the Congress won 28 seats while the BJP was limited to 23 seats. Patidar Samaj, one of the richest communities in Gujarat, is now alienated from the BJP. And if the Congress makes the Patidar community the main face then the Patidars can come with the Congress again.
Ever since Hardik Patel joined the Congress, senior leaders have ignored him by not giving any responsibility to the Patidars. Which is why Hardik Patel is also annoyed. Amit Chavda and Bharatsinh Solanki are responsible for this. Earlier Ahmed Patel had a hand on both, now Ahmed Patel is no more, due to which both of them are running the Congress uncontrollably arbitrarily.
Congress currently has 2 largest Patidar leaders. These include Siddharth Patel and Manhar Patel. Siddharth Patel has also failed in his tenure. And has twice lost the legislature. The other leader is Manhar Patel. The Congress currently has two options, Manhar Patel or Lalit Kagathara. Lalit Kagathara cannot pass racial equations as Hardik Patel is currently the acting president of the Congress. So it would not be a surprise if the Congress leaders support Manhar Patel. Manhar Patel is a leader involved in agriculture in Saurashtra. And has a feud with diamond industrialists in Surat. So that the Congress can also meet the financial requirements required for the elections.
Well-known political analyst and journalist Dilip Patel writes in his blog that there are leaders who have been given photocopies of star campaigners for years as star campaigners of the Congress. In this election, Arjun Modhwadia was made the chairman of the campaign committee. The party did not name new leaders in the list. Leaders like Jayaraj Singh Parmar and Hardik Patel were campaigning. They had held 70 to 100 meetings in the cities. While no one called Bharat Solanki in the campaign meeting. They didn’t even want to go. He held two to four meetings in two metropolitan areas. In which a small number of people were barely present.
In Ahmedabad, Thakor candidates were fielded by Bharat Solanki in 18 wards. In Ahmedabad, they actually have a majority in two wards. However, as Solanki himself was a Thakor, the candidates left their caste. Because his own man comes as the leader of the opposition. He has proved that Bharat Solanki is a hardcore racist with this one decision. Like Madhav Singh Solanki. President Amit Chavda did not like the matter. Yet they could not speak.
Veteran Congress leaders have been in power for the last 20 years. Congress has been losing continuously since 1987. The leaders of the second row were not allowed to stand by Ahmed Patel and others. There is a shortage of new leadership in the Congress. The 12 Bawas who have been making the Congress Bawa have been squeezing for years. Hundreds of activists like Manhar Patel, Jayaraj Singh Parmar are likely to lead the party. Still not letting them come forward. So the second row is not ready. Bharat Solanki wants to play music chair. So don’t let the youth come forward. It has the same face. No one else has a place in policy decisions.
